Overview:

The Trade Compliance Manager oversees all import and export compliance activities at the site. This role involves working with staff who handle trade transactions and compliance checks, investigating potential issues, helping create training and documentation, maintaining compliance records, and collaborating with various internal teams and external partners like freight forwarders and customs brokers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Submit export filings through the ACE portal.
• Manage import activities in collaboration with the company’s customs broker.
• Prepare detailed license and permit applications, as well as other international trade documents.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of government licenses and authorizations.
• Work across departments to proactively avoid trade-related delays.
• Review contracts for compliance-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate trade records in line with internal and legal standards.
• Evaluate compliance procedures, suggest improvements, and document changes.
• Develop and implement best practices to enhance import/export processes.
• Carry out other duties as required.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in export/import compliance.
• Deep knowledge of ITAR and EAR regulations.
• Proficient with ERP systems; advanced Excel skills are a plus.
• Capable of training others in trade compliance topics.
• Experience with OCR EASE software is a bonus.
