Sr-Machinist/Programmer-Turbo Machined Parts Join us as a Sr-Machinist/Programmer-Turbo Machined Parts at Blue Origin . This role involves programming and supporting the manufacturing of turbo machined components for spaceflight hardware, with a focus on safety, quality, and innovation. Responsibilities Program and set up 5-axis mills, multi-axis lathes, and develop machining processes for impellers, blades, blisks, and other turbo machined parts. Assist in establishing new production areas, including layout and tooling setup. Work directly with the production of turbo machined parts, ensuring conformance to specifications. Collaborate with engineering to document, standardize, and transition manufacturing processes. Identify opportunities for process improvements, safety, and efficiency. Verify hardware quality and support continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications At least 15 years of hands-on manufacturing experience in aerospace. Minimum 7 years of CNC programming experience with software like UG/NX or MasterCam, especially in turbo machined parts. Experience operating multi-axis CNC machines and working with hardened metals. Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications. Extensive knowledge of CNC controls such as Mazak, Okuma, Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens. Blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME standards. U.S. citizenship or lawful status required. Additional Details This position requires training in Cape Canaveral, FL for the first 6 months, with a permanent base in Huntsville, AL. It involves travel, extended hours, and a commitment to safety and quality.
