Job Description

As a Security Professional - University Site in Durham, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting students, staff, and visitors, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity to support a positive campus experience.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed11:00 PM - 07:00 AMThur11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the educational environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist students, staff, and visitors with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a visible presence.
• Support emergency response activities according to established protocols for the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• North Carolina Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
