Job Description

Job Type Full-time Description Boulder Imaging is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing process, ensuring the smooth flow of materials and supplies necessary for our operations. As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in identifying and resolving supply shortages or back-ordered parts, monitoring inventory levels, and assessing material requirements. Requirements Responsibilities Recognize and communicate supply shortages or back-ordered parts to relevant stakeholders. Monitor inventory levels and material usage regularly to prevent stockouts and overages. Liaise with suppliers and negotiate competitive prices. Drive cost reductions through supplier negotiations and alternative sourcing strategies. Provide input on production needs based on inventory levels and upcoming projects. Report on possible bottlenecks at the operative level, such as production or tool capacity constraints. Reconcile receipts and drive resolution of any discrepancies. Generate purchase orders from approved requisitions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Communicate with executive management about any significant developments or issues affecting the procurement process. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate the findings and recommendations for executive management. Maintain demand and production plans, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs from sales forecast. Perform demand analysis and upload procurement strategies into our ERP to ensure optimal stocking levels Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of demand planning efforts. Source novel technology in collaboration with the Engineering team and develop supply chain strategies to support New Product Launches Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to procurement staff. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Mental agility to manage, multitask, and collaborate on diverse priorities effectively. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks. Education and Work Experience Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business, supply chain, or related field. Minimum of 5 years experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management role.
