Job Title: Boat Delivery Captain & Rental Associate

Job Description: We are looking for a reliable and skilled Boat Delivery Captain to safely transport vessels while ensuring their proper care during transit. Additionally, the role involves serving as a Boat Rental Associate, where you will assist customers with boat rentals, provide thorough instructions, and ensure the safe operation of the vessels. The ideal candidate will have strong boating expertise, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for teaching clients how to operate their new boats confidently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely deliver boats to various locations as scheduled, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
• Perform pre-delivery inspections of vessels to ensure they are in optimal condition for use.
• Assist customers with boat rentals by explaining rental processes, paperwork, and pricing.
• Provide thorough hands-on training for clients to ensure they are comfortable operating their boats, including instructions on starting the engine, steering, docking, navigation, and using on-board equipment (e.g., GPS, safety gear).
• Teach boaters about basic safety practices, such as life jacket use, emergency procedures, and local boating regulations.
• Answer any technical questions clients may have about the boats features and help troubleshoot any issues during the rental period.
• Inspect and maintain rental boats and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and safety before and after each rental.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to boat operations, safety, or rental equipment.
• Assist in maintaining rental fleet inventory, ensuring boats are ready for upcoming deliveries and rentals.

Requirements:

• Valid boating license and proven experience operating various types of boats.
• Strong understanding of boat mechanics, safety protocols, and navigational systems.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex boating concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Ability to train and educate customers on boat operation and safety in a patient, friendly, and clear manner.
• High attention to detail when inspecting boats and managing equipment.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on providing positive rental experiences.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and remain calm in varying weather conditions.
